Detailed Itinerary of the 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari Tour
Day 1: Arrival and City Tour in Kigali
Upon your arrival in Kigali, the vibrant capital of Rwanda, you will be greeted by our knowledgeable guide who will accompany you throughout the journey. Visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums as you learn about the tragic Genocide in which many Rwandans lost their dear lives. After the City Tour, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Serena Hotel Kigali.
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey itself is an adventure, offering breathtaking views of Rwanda’s lush landscapes. Check-in at your lodge and relax amidst the natural beauty that surrounds you. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park
Rise early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. After you are allocated into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger who leads you into the green forest vegetation.
Follow the varying terrain vegetation terrain for 3 to 5 hours depending on location of the Gorillas in the forest then after a while, you shall meet the Mountain Gorillas and stay in their presence taking many photos to keep with you for a period of an hour. After trekking the Mountain Gorillas, return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking and Iby’iwacu Cultural Experience
Golden monkey tracking Day:
Today is Golden Monkey Tracking Day and includes transferring to the park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Golden Monkeys. You reach the headquarters grab a cup of hot coffee, milk, green tea, black tea then after meet a park ranger guide who takes you through the code of conduct around the Golden Monkeys then after you are distributed into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger.
After here, transfer to the green forest vegetation to trek the Golden Monkeys for a period of 2 to 4 hours and after a while, you meet them and stay in their presence taking photos as they jump from one tree branch to another in an hour. After Golden Monkey Tracking, you return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.
Day 5: Departure to Kigali
Early morning breakfast then embark on departure to Kigali International airport to board a flight back home.
